Heatflask: A holistic activity-data viewer

I love maps. Obviously. Which geographer doesn’t?

It is also the thing I enjoy most about Strava/Garmin etc. The stats are great but it’s all about the maps.

So I have been having great fun playing with Heatflask recently. It connects to Strava to map and visual your activities. There are loads of options how to do this, but I went big and imported everything I’ve ever done on Strava.

Just seeing all that movement is quite something. And you can export it as a GIF! So here are some of my faves:

London:

Zoom into Surbiton:

West Midlands:
Zoom into Olton:
Vancouver (holiday)

I mean, that’s just very satisfying. A jographer’s dream!
