Podcast on the running boom following WW1

Really interesting discussion on the History Extra Podcast about the rising popularity of running following the First World War. This features Jonathan Westaway who discusses his research into endurance cultures during this period and its relationship to the war. Fascinating stuff. It is definitely worth checking out Jonathan’s work on the history of mountaineering and development of other endurance cultures this discussions emerges out of.
